Do you want to know a secret?

Allow me to suggest the following line of action for my followers on Twitter, Facebook, and whoever else may read this blog: Congress represents "We the People..." Even those representatives whom we personally did not elect represent us nonetheless. Theirs should not be a tyranny of the few (or oligarchy in the Greek), so we need make sure our representatives represent the will of the majority of their constituents, and our will will be heard. No longer will I remain one of the silent majority acquiescing to the very vocal minority of liberals now in charge of us.

In June 2006 people with backbone stopped Congress from passing a "Shamnesty" bill that would have flooded this country with some 15 - 20 million new illegal aliens seeking to either "cut the line" of our lawful immigration process, or just "step out from the shadows" to claim their "rightful" benefit of US citizenship.

What I propose on these three sources, is that we take back this government by stopping our representatives in their tracks! Call DC when there is a piece of legislation we don't want passed, call them when there is one we think is worthwhile. Tie up their phone lines and prevent them from doing the bad business that hurts our pocket books and families.

"We the People..." such wonderful words to start our Declaration of Independence may have been overlooked by the unuseful idiots we've elected, or allowed to be elected, but they will hear the cry again. From the people they were elected to represent! And represent they will!!!

"I'm mad as hell and I won't take it any more!!"

We can start with the Freedom of Choice Act. I think the majority of Americans do not favor such a hideous Bill. The gruesome procedure, when brought out of the abortion clinics into the light of day, do not meet the standards of fairness and decency for individuals, neither those having abortions or the abortee. Those undergoing the procedure are being used as pawns in a program of eugenics, those being aborted have no choice.

We must make our voices heard. NOW!

  1. Mr. O'Donnell,

I couldn't agree with you more. For too long we have been lulled into a laziness that is mostly born out of apathy. And you rightly point out that the victims of this are not only ourselves but also innocent people who have been left with no choice.

What I fear the most is that Americans are getting what appears to be that which they truly want. If they're still high on Obama 6-12 months into his tenure, then I'm not so sure there's any turning back.

  2. Too many are still asleep - your rally cry can help to wake the sleeping - rouse the weary and get the meek to move! Mad as hell and with you all the way.

  3. Agree with most of the comments here... the only worry with your call on the Freedom of Choice Act (which, I agree should never be passed) is that there may be too few to rally. Most polling shows a majority of Americans are tired of pro-life rallying and are either ambivalent to the issue or have their minds firmly made up.

I'm not saying it's not an important issue. I'm not saying we should acquiesce to the Bill's passage. I am saying that, if we truly want to rally the "weary and meek" we should select issues that are inclusive rather than exclusive.

We can all rally around a conservative economic message in response to our economic woes. Shouldn't we focus our energies there instead?

  4. B.T.,

So we would do better to avoid the controversial issues and try to rally around the safe ones?
