And on the nuclear front, the following comment to a recent article:
"Notwithstanding Obama's disarming overtures toward Russia, none of these efforts have even remotely slowed Iran's full-court press to acquire nuclear weapons or North Korea's equally aggressive efforts to expand its nuclear arsenal.
Nice work, Mr. Nobel-Prize-Winner. Hope we all remember what a great job you did to "earn" your Nobel if Washington or New York are one day awakened at 2 a.m. to an 'unscheduled sunrise.'"

Enough is Enough!
Yesterday, President Obama, expressing obvious frustration at the slow progress of the only possible achievement his admistration could point to (other than his winning the Nobel prize for being B. Hussein Obama) said the following:
"Other countries are going to start running circles around us... We're going to have to return some sense that governance is more important than politics inside the Senate."
If you weren't frightened by this Marxist-Socialist before, you'd better start being now. The presidents statement and commentary can be found here: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9CPAAT80&show_article=1
In that one line our dear leader has let his ultimate plan into the light of day: He wants to do away with the Constitution of the United States entirely!
Our founding fathers established the bi-cameral legislation in order to act as a check and balance each house set against the legislative overreach of the other. The Senate was deliberately designed to be a club of grand debate, Senators originally nominated by the states' governors, until the 19th Amendment when they began to be elected by popular vote like a prom queen. Senators are supposed to deliberate the issues, not rush headlong into a vote that cripples the people. That task is for the House of Representatives, they are the cripplers and the Senate is the enabler.
But Mr. Obama wants to scrap our Constitution because it interferes with his plan to re-cast this country into his own image. I say "Enough is Enough!" The time has come to throw the bums out of Congress and return to our first principles.

Is She Really What We Want
Do we patriots truly want the woman in the following article to be our model for our children?
She refuses to do her duty because she claims an exemption for having a child.
What message does this send to women, if you have a child you can exempt yourself from hazardous duty? The very condition to which you enlisted?
Only in a politically correct America can we have this situation develop. We are destroying our society by allowing this sort of claim to be rationally made. STOP THE NONSENSE! No one went to her house and dragged her off to the military, it was volunteer on her part! She was not coerced into having this baby, it was voluntary on her part! Decisions she makes do have consequences. What, should someone else be made to go to war in place of her just because she chose to have a child?
This is nonsense!

"Extremism in the Defense of Liberty..."
Dorothy,
Thank you, for your earlier letter, though I cannot fathom the reason you felt it was necessary.
You wrote from your heart on a matter of grave consequent: the belief that this country is involved in a momentous struggle for its very identity marks you as a true patriot.
Your comments called to mind that great orator and statesman Barry Goldwater, who said in his acceptance speech at the 1964 Republican National Convention in San Francisco: "I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice... And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue."
Now, I was too young then to have witnessed the speech, and I am ashamed to say that I had not read it until this evening, but I would encourage you to read it. It can be found here. (Cut and paste it into your browser if you are unable to click on the link)
http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Extremism_in_the_Defense_of_Liberty_Is_No_Vice
This speech furthered my resolve and encouraged me to continue to struggle for liberty in the face of this massive government intrusion into our lives. The speech brought to mind the words of the father of this country who said in a letter to James Madison, "No morn ever dawned more favorable than ours did; and no day was ever more clouded than the present. Wisdom and good example are necessary at this time to rescue the political machine from the impending storm," George Washington to James Madison, 1786.

You pay more for less
Have you been screwed by Obama's Promise: No taxes on Americans earning under $200K a year? Well if you haven't yet felt the sting of the Obama Administration you will come next April 15th!
All you useful idiots who voted the most socialist candidate into office on the belief that he would bring change to Washington D.C, boy are you in for a shock. It is still business as usual, just the players have changed. But wait! In order for Obama to fund his grandiose scheme of tax and spend, guess what? You will pay! along with the "rich" people you so dispise. Even people on Social Security are not immune from the Obama disease; a disease brought about through rapacious and fevered spending.
Read here: http://www.comcast.net/articles/finance/20091116/US.Tax.Credit.Pickle/
It came about sooner than I originally thought, but I TOLD YOU SO!!! Ha ha ha, idiots!

And The People Shall Lead...
When all else fails, look to the people.
Voters in Virginia today cast-off the rule of big-government and instead opted for the rarefied air which comes with liberty and personal responsibility.
Only 8 months of his term is finished and the vote in Virginia signals a mood-shift in America. Gone are the wide-eyed, gape-mouthed millions who swooned at the feet of the first black man elected president of this Great Country. Reality sets in.
With a projected deficit of $1.4 T(!)rillion dollars is the Obama administration beginning to see the folly of its elaborate expenditures? Not really. The promise of "Hope" and "Change" may be turning into the reality of despair and deficit, but Obama and his three dogs, Reid, Pelosi and Hoyer, continue to think if they can spend enough of the people's money their legacy will be secure. Together this quatrain of liberal liars have told us that they are for changing the way Washington does business. Despite the fact that pundits like Michelle Malkin have shown us that The Four Horesemen of Decay are really about the rotten business-as-usual of corruption on a much grander scale.
Today we send a message to this democratic cabal: if you don't change your profligate ways you will be out on your collective keesters in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Count on it!

Cow Flatulence Deemed Unsolvable
Washington, D.C.
Today,October 21, 2009
Today the world breathed a huge sigh of relief as Hu Jintao and U.S. President Barack Obama came together, sat down after standing and reach across the great global divide to agree in principle to meet again and discuss the possibility of both China and the U.S. combating global warming through their mutual efforts. Read the full story at

"We can eliminate global climate change if we dedicate the United States' financial resources to this problem," the first new black president of the United States, ever, was allegedly overheard to remark.
Chinese president Hu Jintao may have concurred with president Obama by saying that U.S. money and curtailment of U.S. industry, "will go a long way to alleviate the suffering of third world dictatorships throughout the world."
Both world leaders (one of whom is the first black president of the United States) turned up their noses at the idea they could do something about India's farting cow problem. Both leaders believed this to be a problem way above their collective paygrades, with Obama adding he was a Muslim and these were Hindu cows.
In a side-bar story, Lord Monckton, delivered a speech in St. Paul, Minnesota in which he "utterly destroys the so called science behind Global Warming." http://www.globalclimatescam.com/?p=572

Disappearing America
"A republic, by which I mean a government in which the scheme of representation takes place, opens a different prospect and promises the cure for which we are seeking." -- James Madison, letter to William Hunter, 1790 (as quoted in today's Patriot Post website)
The citizenry of this country (a country made up by a whole bunch of 'you's and 'I's) have allowed themselves to slip further and further from the ideals expressed in the above sentiment by James Madison. Today our elected officials are less concerned with representing our interests than they are with securing another term in the office to which they were elected.
Many friends have told me that our current political system is a good political system. But I disagree.
Where are the moral values which were inherent in the founding principles of our Constitution?
Where are the guarantees to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" promised by our Declaration of Independence?
What is it that compels our representatives to vote for legislation that is counter-productive to the commonweal?
Our country wallows in the corpulent mire created by our own successes. We are surrendering our best technology to others in order that they can produce the same goods and sell them back to us at a discounted price. But with the purchase we too late realize the inferior quality of the goods, shrug it off, discard the item, and buy another. Ah, the luxury of a disposable society.
Einstein once said that it was luncacy to continue employing the same methodology and expect a different result. Well it is time we applied Einstein's logic to our own politcal situation and throw thosee bums out of Washington DC! And I mean a clean sweep of congress in 2010!
It may sound extreme, but even the good legislators will need to go if we are to reclaim the country for our children. An oncologist will tell you that you will risk a cancer's return if you only remove the damaged portion of the tissue. Some of the surrounding good tissue must be removed to ensure that you have removed all the cancer.
Our representatives and our president do us no favors with their current legislative activities, and I say enough is enough! We brought you into this town, and by God we can kick you out of this town!
Act locally in this election cycle, and your actions will have national consequences!

The True Ugly American
Fletcher Kneible in his book on Sarkan (a thinly veiled Vietnam), wrote a description of the Ugly American. The book was immensly popular in the late 1950s, but achieved near stellar prominence in the 1960s with America's involvement in South Vietnam. The book was viewed as a catharsis for liberal America, and at the same time a bludgeon with which to beat conservatives. The problem was, Mr. Kneible did not subscribe to the ideology of the left wing nut cases then active in the United States.
Today, we see the left once again trying to destroy the United States by using tactics such as this:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/04/sports/04usoc.html?_r=1
But Americans, whom I am told, at least for the moment make up most of America these days, are not racist! 66 million of them elected the first black president of the United States (unless Bill Clinton claims that title). It is comments like those from Mr. Silva that are racist and, frankly, unimaginative.

Truth We Can Believe In - Not!
All week long the administration has been looking forward to the job-loss numbers, which were posted early this morning. It was only a slight rise, so the spin will go, from 9.7% in August to 9.8% in September.
UNEMPLOYMENT RATE RISES TO 9.8 PERCENT IN SEPTEMBER AS EMPLOYERS CUT 263,000 JOBS
As the White House puffs out its chest and gives us a couple of harumphs for emphasis, the American worker/citizen (is it really a necessary distinction?) will be told that the job loss is a sign that the ecomomic sub-strata is realigning to produce more jobs in the green energy sector, or some other shiboleth they dream up. We will be served the typical Obama pabulum that "good times" are just around the corner. After all, its not 500,000 jobs as it was in May. We've "turned the corner" as it were, veritably staunched the flow of our life force from the body politic. Huzzah!
Oh, thank you, President Obama! I am so relieved. And before this report I thought our country was going to hell in a hand basket. And as Obama trots off to Denmark to give away more American sovereignty to buy, er bring, the Olympics to Chicago, an Afghan woman with a purple stain on her index finger is pointing to the freedom won for her by American lives.
Bull Shit! mr. president! Your stimulus package has not had the positive uptick in the economy precisely because it is government money. Business looks further down the road, further than your feeble Harvard/Yale educated mind can see, to the day when U.S. currency won't even be able to buy the paper it is printed on. When it will take wheel-barrow loads of greenbacks just to buy a loaf of bread. And industry is taking, not giving, mr. president, like the heroin addicted standing in line for free methodone. Taking as much money out of circulation and puting it aside against the day when your socialist agenda will go the way of the dodo bird.

The Stench From the Swamplands
Last night I was reading Michelle Malkin's new book, Culture of Corruption, when I became overwhelmed by the state in which we find our country. "Waste, faud and abuse" have become the university motto for all politicians, regardless of party affiliation. It is only now that the depth of Obama's corrupt influences are beginning to surface. Just look at the ACORN scandal: a case is now being filed in Maryland charging the film makers with what amounts to "not playing by the rules!" It seems that ACORN was not told they were going to be filmed. Oh the shame! What could be the possible merits of ACORN's suit? The purpose of hiden cameras is to catch people acting as they want, not the way they think we want them to act. We found this out from "Candid Camera" some 50 years ago for God's sake!
Shakespeare wrote that there was nothing new under the sun; well I think there is and it stinks to high heaven along the Potomac!

Congress Must Think We're Idiots
Max Baucus and the rest of the Congressional Clueless believe you are just uninformed useful idiots. They don't want you questioning their actions, they want your docile compliance to their decisions. They trust you will be unable to follow their logic on health care reform, and they hope you won't understand it before they pass it. See the following article:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090922/ap_on_go_co/us_health_care_everyday_items.
I have one question for Senator Baucus: Who do you think will pay these proposed increases on prosthetics?
Medical companies surely must pass their costs along to consumers. The President and Congress can't do a damn thing about that, short of complete government control over the means of production. Ah, therein lies the rub. We're supposed to pay through the nose for their health care folly at a time you and I can ill afford to pay the increasing costs associated with day-to-day living.
Second question: Why do Obama, Reid and Pelosi seem so eager to get this health care bill passed? Answer: Because health care represents 1/6 of our GDP! And that's a lot of power to control ladies and gentlemen. A lot of power. Our lives will become forfeit.
You won't go broke if you bet that what these power hungry democrats want the soul of our country. They want to grab the United States by its short hairs and thrash it about until we will not be able to recognize it. The principles that our Founding Fathers risked everything for, pledged their lives to defend for future generations, will be destroyed in the great conflagration this administration is hazarding on this country.
Obama has already seized control of the auto industry, student loans and the banks; with health care being the center piece of his new enlightened vision for the United States, he must get Congressional action soon. After all, the tea partiers may yet wreck his plans.
Stop Obama now!!! Write your congressmen to grow a pair and vote no to Obama Care!

Iowahawk strikes again.
I don't know who the author is, nor from where the story comes. But the author does strike a chord of sympathy for the plight of Harvard professors. Sidesplittingly hilarious. Crude language warning.
Cambridge Police Profiling Still A Grim Reality for Harvard Faculty Assholes
Guest Opinionby Professor John Evans Evans-John Harvard School of Harvard Faculty Asshole StudiesHarvard University
When I first learned of the arrest of my colleague Professor Henry Louis "Skip" Gates after he stood up to the fascist jackboots of a declasse, ill-educated Cambridge police officer, I was of course angered -- but scarcely shocked. L'Affaire Gates simply aired, in public, the dirty 100-thread-count table linen of an American culture where Harvard faculty assholes still face a daily struggle against profiling, abuse, and insolence.
It will come as no surprise that Skip's arrest was the talk of the Douchebag Room at the Harvard Faculty Club last Friday. I and a group of colleagues had assembled for our weekly lunch; I opted for their competently-prepared Ahi Tuna Tartare and an amusing glass of '05 Hospices de Beaune Premier Cru Cuvee Cyrot-Chaudron. I had noticed that the Franz Fanon Memorial Booth -- Skip's long-reserved lunch spot -- was uncharacteristically empty, and asked our waiter Sergio for an explanation.
"Professor Skeep, he no is come today," said Sergio. "I tink he is in the jail."
Our table exchanged knowing glances, for we knew immediately that Skip was only the latest victim of a system that singles out the Harvard faculty asshole for stigmatization and unequal justice. It is a system that all of us knew too well, and provided an opportunity for an open conversation about our shared experiences as Harvard faculty assholes in America while waiting for Sergio to bring the dessert cart.
One after one came the cascade of stark stories: the rolled eyes of our department secretaries. The Spanish language mockery of our office janitors. The foul gestures of drunken strap-hanging Red Sox lumpenproles aboard the MBTA. The frequent police stops on the highway to Cape Ann and Martha's Vineyard for "Volvoing While Asshole." And then there are the insulting media stereotypes, where we are routinely caricatured as pompous, effete, self-important, irrelevant elitists. All, I might add, by a motley collection of lowbrow inferiors, few of whom have ever published in a peer-reviewed journal. Let alone edit one.
Sometimes it even comes at the hand of self-styled "peers" from D-list state ampersand institutions. One colleague recounted the tale of his restroom confrontation with a Texas A&M professor at a national academic conference last year. After relieving themselves at adjacent urinals, my colleague noticed the oaf leaving hastily for the plenary session and decided to gently point out his hygienic forgetfulness. "A Harvard man washes his hands after urinating," he said. "And an Aggie don't piss all over his hands, asshole," came the reply.
A female colleague from the English department recalled a recent incident along the Charles River jogging path during her regular morning run. A confused passer-by rudely interrupted her progress and requested directions, as if my colleague were some sort of lowly campus guide or untenured adjunct. "Where does this street go to?" she demanded. Naturally, my colleague took the opportunity to correct her, noting that "at Harvard we do not end our sentences in prepositions."
"Okay, Where does this street go to, asshole?" barked the interloper. Needless to say, my colleague's daily morning runs have since been replaced with tear-filled visits to the Faculty Asshole Self Esteem Counseling Center.
For untold hundreds of Harvard faculty assholes such indignities are, sadly, still part and parcel of being "The Other." As Associate Director of the School of Harvard Faculty Asshole Studies, I have worked to institute policies to insure that Harvard maintains a nurturing environment for all assholes in our community, be they faculty, students, or alumni. Some progress has been made, such as Harvard's mandatory sensitivity and deference training program for all incoming freshassholes. But such internal programs do little to address the impertinence and discrimination we still face outside campus. Some have suggested that we involve the Cambridge Police Department in an educational outreach program, but in my experience the CPD is among the worst offenders.
Case in point: last winter I was slated to deliver the keynote address for an intradepartmental asshole colloquium at Lowell House. Running late, I temporarily parked along Plympton. As I emerged from my Audi, I discovered that I had captured the unwelcome attention of a CPD officer. "Hey Buddy, is that your car?" he barked.
"Why? Because I'm a Harvard faculty asshole in America?" I cleverly retorted.
"No asshole, because this is a snow route and you can't double park here," he sneered, concocting a flimsy excuse for his continued harassment. "You have to move it now."
"That's Professor Asshole to you, you fascist townie," I explained, tossing him the Audi's remote-start key. "Need a valet? Call your mother at the brothel."
It doesn't take an experienced asshole rights activist to tell you what happened next: my Audi was on its way to impound while I rode to the Cambridge Police Station in the unheated vinyl rear seat of Bull Conner's squad car. To add insult to injury, the desk officer refused my request for a dignified background bookshelf for my booking photos.
Thankfully the Constitution still allows even Harvard Assholes a bare modicum of human rights, so I used my allotted phone call to alert the Dean and the Faculty Grievance Committee to my plight. In those 35 excruciating minutes I wasted away waiting in that stark cell, I wrote the opening chapter of "Letters >From a Cambridge Jail," my forthcoming scholarly magnum opus on the grim legacy of Asshole oppression in America.
Eventually my arrest record was expunged and I agreed to meet the loathsome arresting officer at President Faust's office for a conciliatory off-record "beer chat." As the University Counsel had predicted, the lure of free limitless alcohol proved irresistible to the simpleminded Irishman, and he was soon happily signing confessions of guilt and abject apologies. Still, even after he was fired, I was left to pick up the pieces of my shattered psyche.
As I recounted the details of that unpleasant encounter to my colleagues, a few wondered aloud if we were not better served by changing the system gradually. Then our eyes turned to the stately historic portraits of the Harvard faculty assholes who came before us, hanging in silent judgment on the Douchebag Room walls; Schlessinger, Galbraith, Leary, Cornel West, Alan Dershowitz, Theodore Kaczynski. Would these great assholes have accepted complicit silence in the face of crude police insolence? How will we be remembered by future generations of Harvard faculty assholes who will battle future generations of Cambridge police and parking enforcement officials? Where is Sergio with the damned dessert cart?
Some suggest that the election of President Obama proves that America's prejudice against Harvard assholes is a quaint relic of the past. But for those of us who live with it every day, the evidence shows the opposite. And it isn't just Harvard assholes suffering the cold, rude hand of uppity townie privilege. Other, if less endowed, asshole faculties suffer similar oppression; in the southern Lacrosse fields of Duke, in the west coast arugula farms of Stanford, at Northwestern, where ever Northwestern is.
No, we must not be silent. That is why I have used a portion of my class action windfall against the Cambridge Police department to produce a shocking new documentary film, "Asshole Like Me," detailing the courageous plight of the tenured Sphincter-American community. It premiers this Friday at the Science Center. Get your tickets now -- with free beer on tap, demand will be high!
It's Now Or Never
I just finished Mark Levin's new book entitled, "Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto." The book is a remarkable explanation of where Mr. Levin sees the conservative movement, and his prescription for avoiding the stagnation toward which we are heading.
In the summer of 2006, conservatives throughout this land brought the federal government to an abrupt stop, when they forced congress and the president to abandon their shameful immigration proposal. "Shamnesty, No!" was the clarion shout heard in the halls of congress and the White House. And we showed the government that we still had some teeth. Why did it work? Because these politicians fear for their political livelihood, that's why.
I see no reason why we cannot perform the same miracle again.
While we "search" for another Reagan, we conservatives had better look to our own salvation and ignore Obamamama's messianic pograms. We can start by standing stalwart against this administration's overreaching effort to stamp out personal liberty. We can start by voicing our opposition to Notre Dame's invitation to Obamamama to speak to its graduates and receive an honorary doctorate of law. Send your opposition to Notre Dame by signing the petition at http://www.stopobamanotredame.com/. It won't cost you a thing, except your time.
Obamamama's anti-life positions are evident from his speeches and the actions he has taken to entrench abortion rights in this country.
We should have spoken-up when President Bush took our money for T.A.R.P. (toxic asset relief program, indeed), but we didn't and now Obamamama is running this program on steriods! And our children think this unholy savior is their friend? Just wait until they have to pay his bill! Or maybe they can continue to put it on to their children's children's tab. How do we begin pay off $1,000,000,000,000,000 when the interest itself amounts to almost a half billion? After Obama we won't have any more money.
Do we continue to bury our heads in the sand and hope for another Reagan? No. Conservatives should take an active part in their local elections. Support true conservatives who are running for your local school board, city counsel, mayor, or county government. For it is only by taking care of our own backyard that we can take care of the mess we're handing on to our children.
Whenever you feel you are being limited by this administration, write your congressman and senators! Tie up their phones, fax lines, and mailboxes. Let them know you are mad as hell and you won't take it any more!
Yes we can bring this government to an abrupt halt again and assert our rights to the free expression of our liberty under God!

Meditations on Easter
"It is very important to cross the threshold of hope, not to stop before it, but to let oneself be led" - Pope John Paul II from his book Crossing the Threshold of hope
When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome brought spices so that they might go and anoint him. Very early when the sun had risen, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb. They were saying to one another, "Who will roll back the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?" When they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back; it was very large. On entering the tomb they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed! "You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him. But go and tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going before you to Galilee; there you will find him, as he told you.'" Then they went out and fled from the tomb, seized with trembling and bewilderment. They said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
Today marks the first full day after the death of our Lord and we eagerly await Easter Sunday to deliver us from our self-imposed Lenten penances. For many of us, we can now look forward to the sweet taste of relishes that have been denied for these past 40 days. Christ's Resurrection promises a return to normalcy for us. But is this the true promise of Easter?
Pope John Paul II lived his admonition, "Be not afraid" in every aspect of his daily life. He showed us how we, too, should not be afraid because Jesus promised that he will always be near us, even when we turn away from him. When John Paul delivered his "Be not afraid" speech to the gathered crowds in New York during October 1995, it was two years after the first Trade Center bombing, and America was waking up to the reality of global terrorism's reach. We were no longer safe in our own homes from the tribulations of the outside world. Pope John Paul's message to us then, echoes loudly in today's reading.
Joe Difato, the publisher of 'the WORD among us', presents a daily meditation on today's reading. It is especially explicative and has profoundly affected my understanding of the meaning of Jesus's Resurrection. I reprint it here in full in the hope that it will shed light on your own journey to God:
This is the night of waiting and watching. It's the night when all of creation is silent, listening with eager anticipation for the grating sound of a stone rolling against a cave and the soft sound of footsteps leaving a tomb. It's the night when Peter and James and John, Mary Magdalene and Martha and Joanna, and so many others are counting the hours, wondering if Jesus's words would come to pass. At least three times he told them that he would rise on the third day; did they dare to believe it was possible? Could they dare to hope that they would get to see him again? Did they really have a chance to touch eternity in him -- and to share in that eternity as well?
What are you waiting for tonight? Healing? Reassurance? An answer to prayer? What about simply waiting for Jesus himself? Maybe that’s the best thing to do as we wait for the dawning of a new day and a new age of grace. The disciples didn’t know exactly what Sunday morning would bring, and so they waited in faith and trust. In the same way, we don’t really know what tomorrow will bring either. Every new day is a mystery, and we can only wait for it to unfold before us.
So tonight try spending some time in quiet contemplation before the empty tomb. Leave aside your needs, your wants, and your agendas. Put your intercessory prayer list on hold for just one night. Your Father knows what you and all your loved ones need. He knows your hurts, your hopes, your fears, and your dreams. Lay them aside and fix your heart instead on Jesus and the salvation that he has won for you.
Don’t say a word. Don’t even sing a song. Just close your eyes and picture him coming out of the tomb, your Redeemer and Brother. Picture yourself among the sleeping guards—only you’re awake. Imagine Jesus walking up to you and locking eyes with you. What do you see there? What do you feel? What does he want to say to you? You have waited so long for this moment, and now it’s finally here. Look carefully and listen closely. Your redemption is at hand!
“Jesus, I love you.”
We are all children of God, seeking to be with Him in Heaven. As chilren on Holy Thursday we asked: "Why is this night different from all other nights?" I have been praying since October of last year a novena to Our Lady of Victory. This morning I received an answer to my prayer.

Is This What You Voted For?
I feel threatened by this administration, I hope you do too. They are twisting the facts of this recession (which started here in Washington) into some sort of monster that was generated by Wall Street greed. The Obama administration is creating a Wall Street image of corruption that cries out for regulation, but it is really using this implied threat to our economy to hide the malfeasance of congressional democrats (including Obama) who were responsible for overseeing Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, the first dominoes to fall. Congressional leaders of both parties, like Christopher Dodd, Arlen Specter and Barney Frank used strong-arm tactics and forced lending institutions to make risky loans to people who either could not repay, or never had any intention of repayment. Now the president is using this "manufactured crisis" to take over Wall Street. Perhaps he sees the writing on the wall with rising unemployment and falling house values, there will soon be large shortages of tax revenue, and he is driven to fund his socialist agenda?

Bon Appetite!
After his sweeping victory last November, Mr. Obama promised all Americans he would clean house. Now his best buds, the democratic congress, specifically Rosa DeLauro, D-CT, has put forth an initiative to control our domestic food sources. Her intent: enough with foreign food contamination, we will isolate our domestic sources to see if the contamination is 'home-grown' before isolating foreign sources. Good policy. Also be sure to ignore deductive reasoning and just use inductive, that way Ms. DeLauro you'll always have someone else to blame for your mistakes.

Steal(thy) Obama!!!
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/15/AR2009031501350.html?wpisrc=newsletter
Is this what our Republic has come to? This is the greatest juke-job by this administration to date! Obama claimed he was going to wash DC clean from the stain of lobbyists, yet he is pushing the buttons of his 66 million lemmings to call-in and tie up the switch boards of Congress to get it to pass his $3.2 trillion (that right TRILLION!!!!!) budget. I guess Obamamama doesn't feel so safe with Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid as he once did. Our Constitution is in tatters!!!! And it will only get worse. This a*****e has now spent, or proposes spending $6 trillion (that right TRILLION!!!!!), of your great grandchildren children's money. He's already spent your grandkid's dough on his Porkulous package. O for the days of a runaway George Bush.
Where will Obama get these new funds? Maybe his saintly clean buddy Geithener will find a way. This schmuck! You get what you vote for, or , in the case of those republicans who didn't show up to vote, you've stuck us with one great big socialist problem. Thanks a lot!!!
You cannot get away with simply saying, "Well I didn't vote for the guy." Because if you didn't vote, it was just as much an affirmative action as if you did vote for Obama.

How fitting, 25 DVDs of Classic US Crap Movies in Exchange for a Heartfelt Gift!
While it should not generally be a question that gifts which are to be exchanged be of equal value, somehow the appropriateness of one's gift should be taken into consideration. Obama's gift to PM Gordon Brown fails to meet the appropriateness standard. But then, think about it, doesn't Pinocchio singing "When You Wish Upon a Star?" say it all about this president? Or was the singer Jimminey Cricket, I no longer care much less remember? Our presidential putz. This article was taken from today's Monday Brief - Vol. 09, No. 10 found at http://patriotpost.us/.
THE LAST WORD
"British prime minister Gordon Brown thought long and hard about what gift to bring on his visit to the White House last week. Barack Obama is the first African-American president, so the prime minister gave him an ornamental desk-pen holder hewn from the timbers of one of the Royal Navy's anti-slaving ships of the 19th century, HMS Gannet. Even more appropriate, in 1909 the Gannet was renamed HMS President. The president's guest also presented him with the framed commission for HMS Resolute, the lost British ship retrieved from the Arctic and returned by America to London, and whose timbers were used for a thank-you gift Queen Victoria sent to Rutherford Hayes: the handsome desk that now sits in the Oval Office. And, just to round things out, as a little stocking stuffer, Gordon Brown gave President Obama a first edition of Sir Martin Gilbert's seven-volume biography of Winston Churchill. In return, America's head of state gave the prime minister 25 DVDs of 'classic American movies.' Evidently, the White House gift shop was all out of 'MY GOVERNMENT DELEGATION WENT TO WASHINGTON AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY T-SHIRT' T-shirts. Still, the 'classic American movies' set is a pretty good substitute, and it can set you back as much as $38.99 at Wal-Mart." --columnist Mark Steyn

Well it has come to this: the stock market daily seems to reach a new low, Wonderboy Obamamama continutes to write checks on an overdrawn account, and we're left holding the bag.
The useful idiots who elected him were empowered by those conservatives who elected to stay home rather than vote for McCain. How do you like your government now you silly fools? In your petulance you've condemned this country to the fate of all governments who overreach their authority: the graveyard of magnificent efforts. SHAME ON YOU FOR YOUR CHILDISHNESS!!! Pray the end comes swiftly for to linger in a world of Obamamama's making is to drown slowly. Thank you so much.
I wrote the following letter to my Senator Jim Webb (Notice he couldn't even take the time to spell my name correctly, the putz!). I fear its effect will be that of tipping at windmills, well better to go down fighting than not going to vote!

The Honorable Senator Webb:
I am disappointed in your response. But since you asked me to continue to contact you in order that you may better serve me in the Senate, I offer the following rebuttal:
To call the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act a "bi-partisan" effort "to swiftly drive money into our struggling economy" is simply not true. The majority of the spending associated with this bill will not reach the people until 2010 and after. The economy may well right itself of its own accord long before then. And to say this bill was designed to help struggling families is a gross mistatement of fact. This morning it was reported that the president's plan will help out 9 million families, but will leave those most in need of assistance without any aid. For those who have seen their house value decline over 5% of their purchase price will not be eligible to recieve funds. http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-general/20090304/Obama.Housing/
Yes, sir, this is definitely change I can believe in.
By the way, Senator, did you ever read and understand Dicken's "Great Expectations?" The book not the screen play.
The intentions of this administration are written on the wall for all citizens of the United States to plainly see, if they still have eyes to see and the ability to read. The silver-tongued orator that the majority of voters elected last November cares not about the most desperate individuals in our society. He cares about his marxist enablers and special interest supporters. How could you vote in good conscience for that bill when so much money goes to an organization that is steeped in accusations of voter fraud and charges of intimidation? ACORN is a leftist organization, of a type that I would have thought your service to our country would have prevented you from funding.
I had higher expectations of you, sir. But I now see you have drunk from Mr. Obama's kool-aid.
I will continue to pray for you in the hopes that the wool be lifted from your eyes and you can once again walk the path of true statesmanship, and forgo the partisan government into which you have sunk. Ours is still a government that has, up until this time, allowed for reasoned debate on the issues. Your colleagues in the Senate and the House closed off debate and ramrodded this spending bill down our throats. Collins, Snowe, and Spector do not represent "bi-partisanship", sir, and I question your use of such language to color the betrayal they have perpetrated upon the people of this country.
Shame on you, sir. Shame.
Thank you,

Dear Mr. O'donnell:
Thank you for contacting my office regarding the ongoing economic crisis and the federal government's response. I appreciate your taking the time to share your concerns with me.
The United States is facing an economic crisis that is causing American families to fall behind. Communities are being hard hit by home foreclosures, failing businesses, and job losses that are almost unprecedented in recent history. As your U.S. Senator, I am committed to supporting policies that will help end the economic crisis and will help restore basic fairness for all Americans.
It is for this reason that I supported the bi-partisan American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (H.R. 1). This economic recovery package is designed to swiftly drive money into our struggling economy. With help for struggling families, meaningful tax cuts and concentrated funding on key infrastructure programs, I am hopeful that this responsibly-crafted legislation will create millions of new jobs and begin immediately to restore America's economic strength.
As one of those who were concerned with many aspects of the original proposal, I was pleased to work with colleagues from both sides of the aisle to put this plan into place within a set of targeted parameters for economic renewal. My Senate colleagues and I focused on programs to help families struggling under today's serious economic downturn, on shovel-ready infrastructure and public works projects, and on addressing the housing crisis. I am pleased that we were able to remove almost $100 billion in spending from the original proposal.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act also contains tax cuts for families and businesses, provisions to help unemployed Americans keep their health care and find new employment, and provides aid to help the most vulnerable. While this legislation is an important step, other measures must be adopted to restore the health of our economy. These include appropriate reforms of our banking and financial systems, tax fairness, and measures to place the nation on a long-term path to fiscal responsibility.
I appreciate hearing from my constituents. Your correspondence helps me serve you better in the Senate. I hope that you will continue to share your views with me and my staff in the years ahead.
I would also invite you to visit my website at http://www.webb.senate.gov/ for regular updates about my activities and positions on matters that are important to Virginia and our nation.
Thank you once again for contacting my office.
Sincerely, Jim Webb

Our Lady of Victory
Please excuse the tardiness of my duty, but I have finally attached the Novena to Our Lady of Victory. I've been praying for the soul of this nation since before the election, October 23rd last year. I ask my readers to continue to pray daily until She answers our prayer. I believe that She was here at the founding of this great country, guiding it, watching over it, and protecting it. Since those early days of our birth, we have abandoned our need for Her mothering protection. Until we call out to Her: "Hail Mary! Blessed Virgin Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ! Save us from our sins, and return us to the life your Son has given us;" I fear, lest we return to Her, we will not escape His final judgement.
Lord, have mercy on us,
Christ, have mercy on us,
Christ, hear us,
Christ, graciously hear us.
God, the Father of Heaven, Have mercy on us.
God, the Son, Redeemer of the world, Have mercy on us.
God, the Holy Spirit, Have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, One God, Have mercy on us.
Our Lady of Victory, (The response to each of the following is "Pray for us.")
Victorious daughter of the Father,
Victorious Mother of the Son,
Victorious Spouse of the Holy Spirit,
Victorious servant of the Holy Trinity,
Victorious in your Immaculate Conception,
Victorious in crushing the serpent’s head,
Victorious over all the children of Adam,
Victorious over all enemies,
Victorious in your response to the Angel Gabriel,
Victorious in your wedding to St. Joseph,
Victorious in the birth of Christ,
Victorious in the flight to Egypt,
Victorious in your exile,
Victorious in your home at Nazareth,
Victorious in finding Christ in the temple,
Victorious in the mission of your Son,
Victorious in His passion and death,
Victorious in His Resurrection and Ascension,
Victorious in the Coming of the Holy Spirit,
Victorious in your sorrows and joys,
Victorious in your glorious Assumption,
Victorious in the angels who remained faithful,
Victorious in the happiness of the saints,
Victorious in the message of the prophets,
Victorious in the testimony of the patriarchs,
Victorious in the zeal of the apostles,
Victorious in the witness of the evangelists,
Victorious in the wisdom of the doctors,
Victorious in the deeds of the confessors,
Victorious in the triumph of all holy women,
Victorious in the faithfulness of the martyrs,
Victorious in your powerful intercession,
Victorious under your many titles,
Victorious at the moment of death,
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, Spare us, Lord.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, Hear us, Lord.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, Have mercy, Lord.
Pray for us, blessed Lady of Victory.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
Our Lady of Victory, we have unshaken confidence in your influence with your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Humbly we ask your intercession for all of us associated under your title, Our Lady of Victory.
We beg your powerful assistance also for our own personal needs. (Please mention here your special intention in you own words.) In your maternal kindness please ask Jesus to forgive all our sins and failings, and to secure His blessings for us and for all the works of charity dedicated to your name. We implore you to obtain for us the grace of sharing Christ’s victory with you forever in the life that knows no ending. May we join you there to praise forever the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, one God, for all the ages to come.
Amen.
Let us pray:
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.To Thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To Thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that any one who fled to Thy protection, implored Thy help, and sought Thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To Thee I come; before Thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
All this we ask of The Father in the name of Mary’s Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with Him and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
Amen.
Let us pray to our Blessed Lady of Victory:
O Victorious Lady! Thou who has ever such powerful influence with Thy Divine Son, in conquering the hardest of hearts, intercede for those for whom we pray, that their hearts being softened by the rays of Divine Grace, they may return to the unity of the true Faith, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

The Gathering Storm
Of the litany of evil being perpetrated on the people of the United States by President Obama and the liberal congress, perhaps the worst will be the passage of the Freedom of Choice Act.
If we do not protect the lives of innocents, how can we expect our government to protect us when it becomes "politically expedient" not to?
If Obama decides that a government run health care system can no longer afford to treat a debilitating illness now being treated under private insurance, what hapens? Would people just be piled up like sotted cordwood, or worse yet would the government sponsor a program to "deal" with the victims?
We are slowly and surely turning ourselves into a post Weimar Republic Germany, where we will become "ruled" (Rham Emmanuel's word not mine) by an uncaring beast that only seeks to devour our liberty. Germany woke up too late to the evils of their government, will we do the same?

Alarming News!!!
In just these first few weeks, we have seen alarming shifts in our approach to national defense, the war on terror, international relations, ethics in government, social issues and domestic policy. And now, drum roll please... The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009! That's one big pig in every pot! (Sans lipstick.)
First out of the box, there was Obama's in-your-face executive fiat reinstituting America's support for foreign agencies performing abortion. Next his proactive endorsement of the militant homosexual agenda. Then his edict on automobile emissions standards. Next, his stunningly hypocritical support for nominees manifestly guilty of wrongdoing and his self-serving exemptions for appointees from rules he has promulgated. Then there was Obama's autocratic dictate to corporate-CEO recipients of "bailout" money to reduce their salaries to what he deems appropriate.
These were followed by the outrageously inappropriate programs Obama and his congressional colleagues tried to sneak through under cover of the sheer volume and complexity of their budget-busting pseudo-stimulus package.
When the house collapses, as this one will, will there be any patriots around to pick up the kindling?

Teach me?
The prolonged attack which has resulted in the diminution of liberty can be directly attributed to education and t.v.
Our educational system has been the driving force behind the gradual erosion of individual achievement and personal responsibility in this country. Combine that with the concommitant rise in television and you have a recipe for a dumbed down society that only wants their news spoon-fed and told what to do.
The Americans who voted for Barack Obama were denied the opportunity to examine the man. Reporters and writers deflected any genuine investigation and critical look into his background and ability to lead this country.
Republicans could only nominate a person who, despite his demonstrated courage in a North Vietnamese prison, was always already running a fair play and gentlemanly campaign. While the other side bloodied him, he held himself to a 'higher more principled' campaign. Well, we lost, and we lost big!
BHO in three weeks has already set-back the cause of liberty in the United States in ways that I fear we no longer have the will to retrieve. Look at how Iran is calling-out this president. He will lose in any face-to-face with evil men. I only pray that the Blessed Mother will not abandon Her ally in the cause for global Peace and Justice, for once the United States was that ally. Now, as God is rapidly being removed from the market place and the homage which is His due is chased from our society, I only pray that His wrath comes swiftly for I am a coward and don't look forward to the long suffering which is our fate.

Its all part of the Obama game plan, folks. If we don’t keep our heads together on this we’re going to wake up one morning and find the ‘jack-booted thugs’ beating down the doors of liberty loving people. “Mosey along here folks, nothing to see any more. The accident’s already happened.”
I have no doubt that if left unfettered, this administration will nationalize everything we have ever struggled to leave our children’s children’s children; and which was given to us by our father’s father’s father. We sit in the nexus of two worlds that are struggling to assert themselves: one guided by Freedom and the other totalitarian. The Obama-Pelosi-Reid cabal has set their agenda before us: Nancy Pelosi said a couple days ago that she would nationalize everything if she could. And remember Rahm Emmanuel who doesn’t want to miss the opportunities created by crises. Harry Reid is a useful idiot who unfortunately controls a lot of power in the United States Senate. And Obamamama, well he’s frustrated that Pelosi can’t deliver.
But we must do something. I write my congressmen and senators on a regular basis to let them know how I feel about a particular piece of legislation. In VA my representatives are all swimming in the liberal offal tank, but at least they have to weigh my opinion before they vote. The other side to that coin is I am blogging my opinions on VA web sites so that others may become convinced that what I stand for is the direction this country must be headed.
We have not lost our compass, we conveniently put it away during the happy tmes of Bush and Clinton. When things went well, we never thought of what our actions would do to us. Money was loose, and prices could be afforded. Now the grim reaper comes knocking and we hide in fear.
Return to the principles Reagan taught us. It will be difficult at first, but with discipline we can see ourselves through this crisis of identity and win back the country our founding fathers entrusted to us.

Do you want to know a secret?
Allow me to suggest the following line of action for my followers on Twitter, Facebook, and whoever else may read this blog: Congress represents "We the People..." Even those representatives whom we personally did not elect represent us nonetheless. Theirs should not be a tyranny of the few (or oligarchy in the Greek), so we need make sure our representatives represent the will of the majority of their constituents, and our will will be heard. No longer will I remain one of the silent majority acquiescing to the very vocal minority of liberals now in charge of us.
In June 2006 people with backbone stopped Congress from passing a "Shamnesty" bill that would have flooded this country with some 15 - 20 million new illegal aliens seeking to either "cut the line" of our lawful immigration process, or just "step out from the shadows" to claim their "rightful" benefit of US citizenship.
What I propose on these three sources, is that we take back this government by stopping our representatives in their tracks! Call DC when there is a piece of legislation we don't want passed, call them when there is one we think is worthwhile. Tie up their phone lines and prevent them from doing the bad business that hurts our pocket books and families.
"We the People..." such wonderful words to start our Declaration of Independence may have been overlooked by the unuseful idiots we've elected, or allowed to be elected, but they will hear the cry again. From the people they were elected to represent! And represent they will!!!
"I'm mad as hell and I won't take it any more!!"
We can start with the Freedom of Choice Act. I think the majority of Americans do not favor such a hideous Bill. The gruesome procedure, when brought out of the abortion clinics into the light of day, do not meet the standards of fairness and decency for individuals, neither those having abortions or the abortee. Those undergoing the procedure are being used as pawns in a program of eugenics, those being aborted have no choice.
We must make our voices heard. NOW!
